Our 6 bells were augmented to 8 in January 2009. The new bells were dedicated on Sunday 10 October 2010.
Bell Ringers: Chelsfield have an active band of ringers, the bellringers ring before our 10am and 6.30pm Sunday services; they also ring for weddings and special peals for particular occasions.
There were 12 quarter peals rung during 2016. Sadly four were rung to commemorate the lives of longstanding members of the congregation who sadly passed away during 2016, Widge Willenbroock, Anne Mead, Eleanor Ivens and ringer Jim Heyes. Two were rung to mark the Diamond Jubilee of HM The Queen.
The tower once again won the Lewisham District Striking Competition, held at Farnborough in March and the County Final.
If you are interested in learning to ring, particularly younger people, please contact: The Tower Captain Philippa Rooke 01689 812236 email@example.com
Our ringing practice evening is on Mondays from 8pm - 9.30pm.
We have an Annual ringing outing in September each year, in 2015 it was to the East Kent area.
