 1.a. A £35 voucher to eat at ‘The BR6’

This is the restaurant in the square in Orpington attached to the college. It describes itself as ‘ ..a restaurant built to inspire the next generation of chefs and front of house staff. Our staff are made up of industry experts and hard-working students ..’

1. Clean the outside of your car   

Outside car wash by hand using car shampoo followed by drying with shammy leather cloth

2. Golf for 2 and Lunch at Sundridge Park   

Two golfers are invited to join Gordon Ireland for lunch and a round of golf at Sundridge Park Golf Club. The date can be agreed with Gordon but will need to be midweek. Both guests should have an official handicap. Gordon will pay for the entire day including lunch

4. Two hours genealogy research (1)  

Two hours of family history research by an experienced genealogist to help you find your ancestors and build a picture of their life.  Ideally the bidder should know the name, location and age of one ancestor who would have been living in 1939 (the last national census that's available for research), but if it's a total blank, I can help by suggesting other routes forward.  The research can either be done with the bidder present, watching along, or independently - but it's more fun to do it together!

5. A week in an apartment in El Faro (near Fuengirola), Spain  

A week in an apartment 10 minutes walk from the sea and with sea views. There are many restaurants, a few shops and bus stop five minutes walk away.  

The apartment overlooks the communal pool and there are more loungers poolside. There are two balcony awnings for sunny days.  

A 20 minutes drive from Malaga Airport

6. Four hours French or Spanish tuition – up to GCSE  

4 hours in total of French/Spanish tuition either for holiday use or GCSE help. Can be 4 separate hours for different people.

7. Chocolate Chip Cookies

Suzzie Mercado, “The Little Chefette”, will bake 15 of her scrumptious chocolate chip cookies for the winner.  Chef Suzzie has her own special recipe that she perfected over lockdown to give what she considers to be the “Ultimate” Chocolate Chip Cookie.

8. Meal for 2 at BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Arts) in London

Two people are invited to join Susan and Byron Atkinson-Jones as guests for a meal at BAFTA in Piccadilly, London. The date can be agreed with Byron but will need to be before the end of May 2024. (Mon-Fri)

10. Gardening - 2 hours

Royal Horticultural Society qualified (Level 2) gardener  

Timing would be best in Spring or Summer at a mutually convenient time.  
 I can:  

  ·         provide advice on plants if you are planning on re-doing an area of your garden  

  ·         Prune and / or advise on pruning depending on the time of year  

  ·         Plant up summer planters / baskets /bedding  

  ·         Do weeding and general tidying

11. Croquet and cream tea afternoon  

A 3-hour session for up to 4 people at Tunbridge Wells Croquet Club on a mutually agreed afternoon in May – September 2024 with expert tuition  

A Homemade Cream Tea will be served during the session

13. Quarter peal

The bellringers will ring a 'quarter peal', a piece of ringing about 45 minutes long, to commemorate a special event - a birthday, wedding anniversary or other important occasion. The bidder can listen to some or all of the performance in the churchyard or inside the church.  The quarter peal will be recorded in the international database of ringing performance and the bidder will receive a specially printed card with all the details.  This lot can be redeemed until 31/12/2025. 
[Please note the bells will not be able to be rung during the works on the spire]

14. Racehorse training gallops morning

A trip for 4 people to one of the country's top flat racing stables to see horses in training on the gallops and have a guided tour around the stables, followed by breakfast. 

Park House Stables is the home of Andrew and Anna Lisa Balding. Andrew is the trainer of many race winners, including Chaldean, the winner of the 2023 Classic 2000 Guineas race at Newmarket.  He finished third in the 2023 Trainers Championship. The stables are located just outside the village of Kingsclere, near Newbury, Berkshire, RG20 5PY.

Experienced Stylist offering a lovely at home Cut and Blowdry with a relaxing ( unless you are super ticklish !! ) Pedicure = pedi includes foot soak, removal of hard skin, clipping of toenails , exfoliation massage , moisturiser and paint ( if required ).

A 2–3-hour session, for up to 4 people, making then decorating cupcakes with Sue McMahon, former President of the British Patisserie team and author of the top selling book Cupcakes (which has been so popular that it has been published in 6 different languages).

Provision of items for a full afternoon tea for 6 people at a mutually agreed date, delivered locally, comprising: Sandwiches (egg mayonnaise, cucumber, smoked salmon, tuna mayo on white/brown bread), scones (freshly home-baked on the day), Tiptree jam and Roddas clotted cream, slices of homemade cakes (coffee & walnut, chocolate brownies, lemon drizzle, summer berry tartlets), selection of teas, milk.

26. A week in a house in Marbella, Spain.  

A week in a large 4 bedroom town house just 200m from the beach in Costabella, in Marbella East. Sleeps 6-7. The urbanisation in which it is situated is beautifully maintained and has direct access to the beach and a large pool (which the house overlooks).   

There is quite a lot of availability this year, including Easter and October school holidays and some in the summer. 2025 would be OK too, although school summer holiday time may be more limited.

27. Two one hour ironing sessions

Probably amounts to around 3/4 of a basket or thereabouts. Bidder to supply hangars, if required.
